Forum news

The forum I started last week has been growing really fast which is really cool. It's great to see so many photographers coming together to learn and develop skills. I think it will be a place where some really great work will come from some dedicated hard working photographers.

And I need to tell you that I received a call from a rather large company who I have been trying to do work for, and if it all plays out right, I'll be working on the holiday catalog. We'll see!

Dinner Fun

This was what we did the other night. It had a safari theme complete with wild chicken and stuffed animals. The kids thought it was a blast and it was really cheap to do!

They make my job easy.

These girls are neighbors of mine and I asked the mom if I could "test" with them for my black and white promotion coming up. They could not have been more fun, as you can see.

Hey! This has a new look, again.

I like tweaking things until they look just right and this blog is one of them. I want a better looking page and reading experience for you, so I changed it a little. Anyway, Brooke was up for some more testing in the studio, so I wanted to share. She likes the camera which makes it easy for me. I played a bit with the studio lighting and tried a few new things. In the forum for photographers, (which is about to go live), we'll talk more about studio lighting and how to's.

This is an interior decorator of mine. She has a business called Sensible Surroundings using what you have with small additions to make a room glorious. Her husband is a builder and partners with her doing amazing interior trim and modifications. They make quite a team. Check out some of their finished projects.

Here's some more samples for my upcoming black and white promotion on February 28th and March 7th.

For you photographers out there, the motion shots were shot at 1/50 of a second using hot lights, not strobes. Gives a nice flowing feel.

Loving Black and White

Black and white images have a really nice feel to them because it's about the form, shape, texture, expressions and spirit of children. I am doing sessions for 2 days on February 28th and March 7th and so far I have had a ton of interest. It's exciting because I love doing it and the kids get into it too.Here's a few from some test sessions.
