That is the number of pixels the camera will have that will be in my hands on Tuesday. I know, it's a techy thing, but this camera will change a lot of things including producing incredibly sharp images with the ability to go very large with detail that will take your breath away. And by shooting 4 frames per second, there is little chance of missing that fleeting expression. Oh yea, and HD video. Hmmm... will have to see what that can bring.

Cold and no fear

It's around 37 degrees on this shoot and it actually worked out great. It was kind of an experiment for me because I wanted to see what the possibilities were when shooting outside in the winter. The kids didn't mind it and had a chance to warm up every 10 minutes in the car. I think they kind of found it to be a fun challenge to see how many images we could shoot before the next warm up.

We are planning a trip to Chicago to ride in the horse drawn carriage among the Christmas lights. We tried to do it last year but a winter stomed killed our plans. Hopefully this year.

I am thankful for my girls, my wife, my job (which is fun) and the gift of life that God breaths into us every day.

Then and Now

5 years ago, I did this test of Brooke holding this frog, (she really wasn't holding it, I Photohoped it). I just came across this photo and it blows me away how much she has changed. The second image was from just a few weeks ago. And I'm so excited because my wife and I bit the bullet and made for large 20x20 prints to hang in our front room of our girls. I must say it looks great.

A few more

I wanted to share a few more images from this session I had with these 2 adorable gals. I really love this secret spot I found with the brick wall and guess what? I can shoot there all winter if I want to. Although it might be a bit chilly at times there is still things we can do to capture awesome images. 

The last warm spell

Remember those 60 degree days we had just a little while ago? I called my client and told her we have an opportunity with the weather and she agreed to pull it together and make it work. So Jennifer, our efforts totally paid off. Here's a small sample of what we captured and your girls were fun!

Looks like Christmas

I know, I know, it's not Christmas, so we staged this little girl's home to look like it was . I think we pulled it off!

My Girls

I finally got my act together and blocked out time to photograph my own kids, and I gave them a nice discount on the fees. It's been so warm I had to take advantage of it before we slipped into the real November temps. They always tell me, shoot me alone, not with my sister. Of course I give in.
